Product Analysis
Coated products
Normally, our wholesale disposable plates and cutlery have a coating on the surface, such as a PE film, PLA film, or spray coating. These products may melt under certain circumstances, but this will not happen in a microwave oven, especially when the product contains food.
Uncoated products
Uncoated pulp-based eco-friendly tableware is the most classic product. These products do not produce any open flames when heated in a microwave oven. Since the temperature in a microwave or oven is generally around 180-230 degrees Celsius, placing the product inside will not cause any damage or risk of burning.
Safety tips for using microwave ovens and conventional ovens
Material selection
Ceramic, glass, and paper materials can all be heated in a microwave oven. Paper materials include pulp-based eco-friendly plates (wholesale products). However, it is strictly prohibited to use any metal products in a microwave oven. There are no such restrictions for ovens; you can use any of these materials in an oven, and there are no time limitations.
Correct usage
Regardless of the material or the appliance used, we do not recommend using these products empty. While there is no risk involved in using strong disposable plates for hot food when empty, the high temperature can cause the moisture inside the product to evaporate, making the product very hard, but this will not affect its usability.
Can sugarcane bagasse products be heated over a fire?
This is a common physics problem, similar to the famous experiment of boiling water in a paper cup. If we understand the principle behind this experiment, we can determine whether similar plant-based paper plates can be heated over a fire. Therefore, to find out if sugarcane bagasse products can be heated over a flame, we can analyze this well-known experiment as follows:
Heat transfer and thermal equilibrium
During the heating process, the heat from the flame is transferred to the paper cup wall or sugarcane bagasse taco holder paper plates. The paper cup wall quickly transfers the heat to the water inside the cup, thus maintaining a temperature equilibrium between the paper cup and the water inside.
Water absorbing heat and boiling
Water has a high specific heat capacity and can absorb a large amount of heat transferred from the good disposable plates or paper cup. Under standard atmospheric pressure, the water temperature will continuously rise until it boils (100℃), and will maintain this temperature during boiling until it is completely vaporized.
Temperature limitations of paper cups
Due to the principle of thermal equilibrium, as long as there is water in the cup or oblong paper plates, the temperature of the contact area between the paper cup and the water will not exceed the boiling point of water (100℃). This temperature is below the ignition point of paper, so the paper cup will not burn.
Combustion conditions
Combustion requires reaching the ignition point of the paper cup or nontoxic paper plates. Only when the water in the cup is completely evaporated will the temperature of the paper cup wall rapidly rise above the ignition point (approximately 130℃-180℃), and the paper cup will then ignite.

Therefore, it is clear that both cardboard products and pulp-based medium paper plates can be heated over a fire. There are two methods for heating them, as follows:
- Heating with water/soup:
When plant-based paper plates contain water or soup, they can be heated directly. During the heating process, the paper cups or pulp products will not burn, char, or be damaged.
- Heating without water:
However, when super strong paper plates do not contain any liquid, they cannot be heated directly with an open flame. There must be liquid present at the point where the flame contacts the cardboard or pulp product; otherwise, the product will be damaged.

Organic paper plates are the simplest product; other products have more complex shapes during development.
